Welcome To My Weather Blog
Hey everyone, this blog will serve as a place for me to record daily weather conditions and patterns as well as include photos and links to some interesting weather related sites and events. I'm pretty excited to get started on this because my grandfather used to do something similar. He lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan at the most northernly point of the Keweenaw Peninsula in a town called Eagle Harbor. While it is a popular summer spot for people, it averaged around 13 people in the dead of winter, my grandfather being one of them. He started his own blog about the harbor some 15 years ago and included weather reports, pictures and some of his favorite links relating to cool spots in the region. He posted an "Out my front window picture" everyday to the day he passed in 2011. The picture of the day before he passed still greets you when you look at the page.
As inspired by my grandfather, I will attempt at doing a consistent photo of the day off of my back porch at my home in Eau Claire, WI. Over time, you'll get a look into how the weather has changed, how the vegetation progresses through the spring and maybe catch the elusive woodchuck that lives under my neighbors shed.
For those of you interested, here is the link to my grandfathers website. It hasn't been updated since 2011, and my grandfather never bothered with flashy graphic design, but it has a certain charm that has me coming back to it often. His website let hundreds of people across the country stay up to date on a place that we all hold close to our hearts.
Enjoy! http://www.eagleharborweb.net
